FRIDAY MAY 8 · AT YOUR LOCAL
Bring your mates, grab a pint, tax the gas giants!
Aussies are furious that our government makes more money from beer drinkers than it does from the gas export tax. What better way to show your support than to head to the pub with your mates, raise a glass and demand a 25% tax on gas exports.
How to get involved
The simple ask: head to your local pub, post to social media and tag Albo.
Grab your mates, order a drink, snap a photo and help send a message: Australians should get a fair return from our gas exports.
1Rustle up some mates and head to your local pub.
2Grab your beverage of choice and thank your local publican.
3Take a photo or video (it could be a selfie, group photo, or creative idea).
4
Make a public post on social media to send Prime Minister Anthony Albanese a message. For example:
A 25% tax on gas exports passes the pub test here in [YOUR SUBURB]. How about it, @AlboMP? #TaxGasNotBeer Giving away our gas for a pittance doesn’t pass the pub test. #TaxGasNotBeer this budget, @AlboMP! Note: Make sure your account settings are set to public so the Prime Minister hears your message.
